How to: Set your commercial appetite filters to attract the referrals you want
Are you getting the types of commercial referrals you want? If not, it’s time for an Appetite Engine tune up!
From revising consumer forms to providing referral feedback to appetite engine algorithm updates, we’re constantly working to ensure we match you to the types of business you want to write. And, most important, the referrals we match to your agency are based on YOUR Advantage Profile’s appetite settings.
To ensure your profile is optimized for the business you like to write, Advantage subscribers for commercial lines referrals can personalize their appetite filters with the instruction below.
Setting your commercial lines appetite
- Sign in to your Advantage profile account at https://solutions.trustedchoice.com and press the Sign In button at the top of the screen
- Click “Agency Profile” in the menu
- Click the “Commercial Lines” tab
- Click the “Edit Agency Profile” button to put your profile in edit mode
On this tab, you’ll now see several new ways to tailor what types of referrals are sent to your agency (see image below):
- Commercial Lines of Business: select the lines that your agency offers so you only get referrals for this type of business
- Consumer Business Sizes: Do you prefer working with businesses of a certain size? Simply check the relevant “Employee Size” boxes.
- Years in Business: Here you can indicate your preference for businesses of a certain age by checking the box next to the business ages you prefer.
- Consumer Insurance Situations: Use this field to indicate your preference for consumers who are currently insured or not.
- Industries Served: You can quickly select for businesses that belong to certain industries by turning entire industries on or off at the 2-digit NAICS level. You can further refine industries to the 6-digit NAICS level by clicking the “Choose Business Types” button and then searching for the industries you’d like to turn on or off.
After you’ve updated your appetite settings, click the “Save” button. Viola! These real-time changes are reflected immediately on TrustedChoice.com.
